Fotografovat tradiční svatbu na Slovensku je zážitek, o který se s vámi rád podělím:) Základ všeho bylo dobře se vyspat, neboť jednou vstoupíte do dění tak už to jede. Celou svatbu měl na starosti starejší Vlado, který bavil celou chasu od začátku až do konce. Taktéž provázel Mariku a Standu při tak zvané “odobjerce”. To je obřad, kdy se syn loučí se svými rodiči aby se odebral do domu nevěsty, kde dcera prosí o požehnaní rodičů aby se mohla po boku družby odebrat k oltáři. Nebyl jsem sám komu vlhly oči, když se Marika loučila s rodiči, je to krásný zvyk a jsem rád, že se stále dodržuje..

Po svatební mši následoval nelehký úkol pro Standu a to vykoupení nevěsty z vesnice a věřte, že to bylo tvrdé vyjednávání s místními chalany. Ale vše dobře dopadlo, nevěstu mu propustili, vše zapili a byli jsem volní odjet z vesnice a slavit až do rána!

Marika a Staňa jsou nádherný pár, který stejně jako já s mou ženou propojuje dva národy a musím říct, že jím to jde výborně:) Staňo, Mariko, přeji vám ať při sobě stojíte, i když se bude blýskat nad Tatrou nebo nad Prahou!

Fantastic experience from tradition wedding in Slovakia and I am more than happy to share it with you:) First of all- you need a good sleep, because once you enter the house of bride or groom than there is no way back. The whole wedding was in charge of Vlado, who entertained everybody from the beginning to the end and also he was accompaning Marika and Standa in the so-called “odobjerce”- This is a ceremony where a son is saying goodbye to his parents. After this ceremony the groom is going into the bride’s house where she begs parents for blessing. Than she is guided by bridesman to the altar. And I must be honest I was not the only one who had wet eyes when Marika said goodbye to her parents, it’s a nice habit and I’m glad that still follows…

The wedding Mass was followed by a difficult task for Standa – redemption of the bride from village, and believe me it was hard bargaining with the local lads. But everything went well, Standa got the bride, had a drink with boys and we were free to leave the village and celebrate until the morning!

Marika and Stana are a wonderful couple who like me with my wife connects the two nations and I must say that they are doing it well:) Stando, Mariko, I wish you all the very best, even in the times when it will flash over Tartra hills or over Prague towers!
