On the first day of the wedding women were being decorated with henna, as an expression of joy and celebration of a big life event. In the evening a sangeet ceremony took place – the couple exchanged rings and parents marked their forehead – a symbol of becoming adults. What a great day full of traditions!

Mezi studenty byla i krásná dívka, která Sidhartovi padla ihned do oka. Mluvil s ní jen chvilku a ve vší své roztržitosti se jí ani nezeptal na telefon nabo e mail. Celý rok nemohl Sid na krátké setkaní s Jyoti zapomenout, a tak se rozhodl, že musí navštívit univerzitu v Dilí, vyhledat profesora, který tehdy vedl skupinu studentů na exkurzi, a najít slečnu, se kterou se potkal…
Dnes, po šesti letech od doby, kdy Sid poprvé uviděl Jyoti, jsem mohl být svědkem toho, jak si ti to dva úžasní lidé slíbili věrnost a lásku až do smrti.První den svatby se ženy zdobily hennou, jakožto projev radosti a oslav velké životní události. Ve večerních hodinách proběhla sangeet ceremony – obřad, kdy si snoubenci vymění prsteny a rodiče jim udělaji na čele znamení toho, že se stávají dospělými.
